Detecting knot periodicity via cabling operation

Abstract: The aim of this talk is to present the results based on speaker's master thesis. We show how to adapt a proof of a criterion for knot periodicty shown by Traczyk and Przytycki to the case of knot cables to obtain a stronger theorem. We also discuss its applications and limitations.
